Cringiest Motivational LinkedIn Posts of All Time

Post by CareerCynic »

Hey everyone,

Welcome to the Corporate Humor and Memes subforum! This is the place where we can all unwind a bit and share some of the most cringe-worthy, over-the-top, or downright absurd advice we've seen from LinkedIn influencers. Let’s face it, LinkedIn is a goldmine for this kind of content—those posts that make you do a double-take and wonder if the person who wrote it actually believes what they’re saying.

To kick things off, here’s a gem I stumbled across today:

Image

"You weren't fired, you were promoted to entrepreneur."😬

Yep, someone actually told their client who got fired that they should think of it as a "promotion" to entrepreneurship. I mean, come on—getting fired is already tough enough, and now we have people trying to sprinkle some motivational fairy dust on it by calling it a "promotion." Because, obviously, losing your job is just the universe telling you it’s time to become the next Elon Musk, right? 🙄

This post screams hypocrite and shallow to me. It’s like these so-called "influencers and coaches" are trying so hard to put a positive spin on things that they forget how real life actually works. Not everyone can just bounce back and "focus on growing their business full-time" after getting canned. I honestly laughed for about five minutes at how cheesy and unbelievable this advice is. It’s as if they’re completely disconnected from reality! Sometimes I think that these corporate "influencers" should just read the room before dropping their cheesy one-liners.

But hey, maybe it’s just me. Anyone else out there cringe at these kinds of posts? Let’s get the ball rolling—share your favorite cringe-worthy LinkedIn influencer moments. The more absurd, the better! Let’s have some fun with this.

As usual, when sharing cringe LinkedIn posts, please remember to blur the photo and name of the poster. We don’t want to draw heat for our forum or dox anyone. This is a place to call out this kind of stupid corporate bullshit for what it really is, not to expose or harass individuals. Let’s keep it fun and focused on the content, not the people behind it.

Best,

Tattooing Loyalty or Corporate Stockholm Syndrome?

Hey folks,

I stumbled across this absolute gem on LinkedIn, and I just *had* to share it. The CEO of Cacau Show, a Brazilian chocolate manufacturer, proudly posted about an employee who decided to tattoo the company’s logo on their arm. Here’s the translated post for those who don’t read Portuguese:

Translation of the CEO's Post:

“When an employee chooses to tattoo the Cacau Show logo, we understand that our purpose goes far beyond producing incredible chocolates. It’s about inspiring, connecting, and...” *(cue the corporate buzzword salad).*

The post features a close-up of the tattoo (yes, it’s the Cacau Show logo) and a picture of the CEO with the employee, all smiles and hugs.

Now, I don’t know about you all, but this has got to be one of the most **corporate cult cringe** moments I’ve seen in a while. Let’s break this down, shall we?

1. “Purpose Beyond Chocolate”?
Really? A tattoo is proof that your company’s purpose is *so profound* it inspires permanent body art? Or is it proof that you’ve created such a *toxic corporate loyalty cult* that someone feels compelled to brand themselves with your logo? Let’s not confuse “connection” with “indoctrination,” shall we?

2. Where’s the Raise?
If someone is tattooing their workplace’s logo on their body, I would at least hope they’re getting compensated *big time.* A lifetime bonus? A share in the company? Free chocolate for life? Oh wait—probably just another "Employee of the Month" certificate, right?

3. Corporate Stockholm Syndrome:
This is the perfect example of a company convincing its workers that they’re part of a “family” while not really giving much back in return. It’s the classic, “We’re all in this together!” mentality. Except... only one of you is the CEO, and the rest are tattooed foot soldiers in the chocolate army.

4. What’s Next?
What’s the next step in corporate loyalty? Tattoos today, maybe company-themed weddings tomorrow? Perhaps we’ll see employees naming their kids after the brand: “This is my son, Cacauzinho.” Honestly, where does it end?

5. A Lesson in Boundaries:
Dear employers, here’s a friendly reminder: inspiring loyalty doesn’t mean your employees need to permanently mark themselves to prove their dedication. It’s okay to just give them fair pay and treat them like actual humans. Shocking concept, I know.

What do you all think? Is this employee showing extreme loyalty, or is this another case of corporate culture going way too far? Let’s hear your thoughts (and your best jokes). Because at this point, I’m wondering if this tattoo comes with a lifetime supply of chocolate—or just more unpaid overtime.

Looking forward to your takes!
